Essential Job Functions:
Prepare a detailed estimate by completing quantity/quality take-offs, analysis, estimate input and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope.
Serve as liaison with subcontractors, design team, and sales.
Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for different contract types (Lump Sum, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Cost Plus, etc.)
Develop a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more costefficient (internal or external labor, best supplier for application, etc)
Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades as required; coordinate with project team to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.
Responsible for understanding all factors required for a comprehensive trade package scope including contract documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methods.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work. Document information into Bid Recording Sheet, organize and participate in Post Bid Reviews.
Calculate correct job costs & market-based pricing for solutions.
Manage warranty tracking and work with service group to ensure warranty process has been followed for reimbursement.
Daily travel to customers and site locations 99%
Perform other duties as required for business operation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of two years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
Must have valid drivers' license and clean driving record.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to estimate large scale commercial projects.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be team-oriented, able to contribute with a group work environment.
Experience with the required technology, (Microsoft Office, BidConnect, CRM, Equipsoft)
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specification, scope of work and project schedule.
Physical Requirements:
Work requires the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, crawl, climb, sit and stand for extended amount of time and walk long distances throughout a workday (8 – 10 hours) with infrequent opportunity to sit.
Wearing the proper PPE as required including safety glasses, and safety toe shoes or safety ankle boots is a requirement of this position.
Daily travel by car using own vehicle throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
Regularly required to carry tools, use hands to maneuver, handle or feel, and hear and talk.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move tools and equipment up to 50 pounds.
Excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required.
The work may be performed in various locations, including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, refineries, and hospital settings.
Employees may occasionally work with co-workers' side-by-side with a moderate level of activity being performed.
Exposure to high voltage AC/DC power is very common in many work environments.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
