We have an exciting opportunity in our corporate office located in Mountville, PA for an experienced Accountant in a fast paced environment that requires an organized, hardworking individual. The opportunity includes potential for a supervisory role in the future. This position will report to the Controller.


  • Month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting

  • Financial statement preparation

  • Year-end close including interaction with outside accountants and auditors

  • Preparation for retirement plan audit, welfare plan audit, and insurance premium audit

  • Bookkeeping tasks associated with affiliated companies

  • Cross training with other areas of the accounting department for back-up purposes

  • Various state/federal tax returns including sales tax and other compliance returns and reports

  • Maintain excellent and consistent attendance and punctuality

  • Abide by all company policies and procedures

  • All other duties assigned by management


  • Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with superior Excel skills including queries, pivot tables, and advanced formulas

  • Experience with automated accounting systems

  • Sound decision-making skills and analytical skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Must work well in a team environment and with a diverse group of people

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION – The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with emphasis in Accounting

  • CPA with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting

  • 5 years’ experience in private industry accounting
