Operator Trainer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operator Trainer to join our team! The Operator Trainer role is responsible for training and certifying our customer and internal Lift Inc. personnel to safely operate industrial equipment sold by the company within OSHA and other regulatory guidelines. The role is also responsible for facilitating train-the-trainer course for our clientele so that they can train and certify their employees.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Drive and travel to customer’s locations to present training material in a professional and enthusiastic manner

  • Stay up-to-date with OSHA and other relevant regulatory standards and adjust company’s training material accordingly

  • Understand safety and proper operations of industrial Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP) * Proficient in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Prepare and process appropriate paperwork related to company’s quote and billing process

  • Maintaining accurate documentation of completed trainings

  • Proactively communicate with customers six months prior to their certification expiry to book re-certification classes

  • Facilitate Operator training and Train-the-trainer courses to Lift Inc. personnel and clientele for PIT & MEWP equipment

  • Maintain a professional appearance that is consistent with company’s handbook policy

  • Respond to online chat leads and other leads provided by the company within same business day

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be over the age of 18

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience presenting in front of large groups

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Good organizational, time management and customer service skills

  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines

  • High level of professionalism and the ability to follow-up

  • Positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow team members

  • Ability to follow directions both written and verbally

  • Ability to use electronic devices for document submission

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
