Service Writer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Writer- Dock and Door located at our Carlisle branch. The Service Writer – Dock & Door is responsible for writing service quotes, following up and scheduling approved quotes, as well as maintaining the quote log. This role acts as a liaison between the company and the customer by coordinating the transaction.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for communicating with customers via phone and email to obtain all necessary information from customers to generate quotes

  • Responsible for satisfying customer inquiries in a timely manner via phone or email

  • Tracking repairs and questions regarding warranties

  • Perform data entry and data management

  • Maintain daily quote log

  • All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be over the age of 18

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of two (2) years of automotive experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with Microsoft Office and computer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in an office setting

  • Positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow team members

  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

  • Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills

  • Must work accurately and meet deadlines

  • Ability to multi-task on projects

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, as well as walk short distances

  • Must be able to lift or exert a force of up to 25 pounds with an occasional need to lift or exert up to and sometimes over 50 pounds
