Shop Foreman
The Shop Foreman will work directly with our Service Manager to assist them in the oversight of shop operations. Additionally, the Shop Foreman will play a vital role in the continued education and development of new and existing shop technicians.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of shop area
Work directly with Assistant Service Manager on preparation and recap of daily shop meetings
Mentor new Technicians and full-time Shop Technicians
Participate in daily shop meetings by providing relevant job updates
Complete jobs and projects as assigned by Service Management
Direct all customer questions and inquiries to appropriate Service, Parts, or Sales channels unless otherwise approved by Service Manager
Provide quote details for shop repairs and assist other technicians when required to ensure Technicians stay within quoted times
Provide feedback to Service Management for use in annual reviews and performance discussions
Address any safety concerns directly with fellow colleagues in a positive manner while reporting interaction to Service Management
Perform other duties as required for business operation.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be over the age of 18
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical Degree in automotive field or equivalent field
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience
A minimum of one (1) year experience with Microsoft Office and computer
Good organizational, time management, and customer service skills
The ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
A high level of professionalism and the ability to follow up
Positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow team members
Must be able to follow directions both written and verbally
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Preferred:
One (1) or more years of Supervisory experience in automotive or Material Handling industry
Experience working on automotive or industrial equipment, welding, diesel, gas engine and welding experience
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
